ONE is seeking an SharePoint Administrator/Help Desk Technician to join our vibrant, fast-paced team in Edmonton, Alberta.

ONE specializes in the development, asset management and property management of commercial and multi-family real estate assets.

ONE offers expertise in land planning, asset acquisition, development, project finance, construction, project analysis and marketing. Through our offices in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto, we collaborate and partner with institutional clients to create master planned developments incorporating smart growth principles. We actively operate in the retail, industrial, office, mixed-use and residential segments of the real estate market.

The Opportunity

Join the ONE team and assume responsibility for an exciting SharePoint Administrator/Help Desk Technician role to support our external help desk support provider. ONE operates in an Office 365/SharePoint environment and knowledge of these tools are is essential to the position.

The SharePoint Administrator/Help Desk Technician reports to the RIM Manager and is responsible to support end users for our offices in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. Having a passion for supporting end users coupled with providing exceptional problem-solving abilities are imperative to the success of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our SharePoint (2016) Online environment by creating SharePoint sites on-demand; managing security and access to SharePoint sites and libraries; managing external access to designated SharePoint sites; providing guidance with data migration; implementing standard metadata scheme across all sites.
  • Implement Skype for Business across the company.
  • Implement One drive for Business across the company.
  • Remotely and locally respond to and resolve requests for desktop and mobile devices (I-phone, laptop, tablets) issues.
  • Adding to and maintaining the internal and end user IT knowledge bases.
  • Assist with setup and deployment of new company workstations/laptops.
  • Be available after hours for occasional emergency issues.
  • Willingness to travel to other ONE offices intermittently (approximately 5%).
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the betterment of the IT department.

 Qualifications  

  • College level Diploma in Computer Information Systems
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience supporting SharePoint.
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience providing IT Help Desk support.
  • Past work experience in a Land/Property Development company in an IT capacity is an asset.
  • Proven exceptional customer service skills.
  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Technical skill set should include an entry level of understanding of the following:

                        Windows desktop operating systems (7/8/10);
                        File shares and permissions;
                        Microsoft Office products;
                        i-phones and laptop hardware
